Have a broken lamp, clock, or toaster collecting dust at home? Don’t throw it away just yet!
Sustainable Milton is inviting residents to its upcoming Repair Café next month, where skilled volunteers will help fix your household items—for free. This community-driven event promotes sustainability by encouraging people to repair instead of replacing. From bicycle tune-ups to small appliances and electronics, there’s plenty of support to help bring your items back to life.
Please note, electrical repairs must be booked in advance by emailing repair@sustainablemilton.ca. as walk-in electrical items will not be accepted. To secure your spot, residents are encouraged to email ahead with details about the item they’d like repaired. If special parts are needed, a follow-up visit at a future Repair Café may be arranged.
The event takes place on Saturday, May 9th, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Milton Sports Centre.
This initiative is part of Sustainable Milton’s goal to host 10 Repair Cafés each year across the town—helping reduce landfill waste and build a more sustainable, environmentally conscious community.
