Tragic Blaze Levels Milton Barn; Six Goats Perish
A barn fire in east Milton on Tuesday afternoon left six goats dead and caused an estimated $120,000 in damage. Matthew Townsend, Deputy Fire Chief of Operations, said crews were dispatched at approximately 1:30 p.m. to Derry Road at Eighth Line, where they encountered a fully involved barn upon arrival. Driver Injured After Vehicle Crashes into Utility Pole on Steeles
Halton Regional Police Service are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred over the weekend in the southern part of the municipality. Officers say that at approximately 6:50 a.m. on Sunday, an Acura sedan travelling eastbound on Steeles Avenue near Sixth Line collided with a traffic light pole located on the median.
