With summer behind us and the colder weather approaching, a local group is calling for the community to donate winter clothing for those in need.
The Clothes Without Cost store at 200 Main St. in downtown Milton, which is operated by the Southside Community Church, is accepting clean, gently used winter clothing until the end of October.
The store — previously known as Goods For Nothing — has been providing families with “good quality” clothing at no cost since 2009. The list of accepted items include
women’s casual and business clothing,
men’s work wear,
children’s school clothes,
infant clothing, and shoes
as well as gift card donations for food.
Without the generosity of the community, “the store could not happen,” according to a post on its Facebook page.
According to its website, the store is open on the second and fourth week of each month. Go to southsidemilton.org/store-schedule for the most up-to-date opening hours.
