MCRC’s 8th Annual Fill A Crib Campaign Surpasses Expectations

Writer: Sana ShahidSana Shahid

The Milton Community Resource Centre (MCRC) is celebrating the success of its 8th Annual Fill A Crib Campaign, which raised an incredible $57,000 for the MCRC Infant Food Bank.

The campaign exceeded its goal, receiving over 125 donations and support from 35 local businesses and organizations. In total, 115 cribs were filled with essential baby supplies like diapers, formula, and clothing.

MCRC Executive Director Becky Andrade thanked the community for their generosity, saying, “We are so grateful for everyone’s support. This will make a huge difference for families in need.”

One of the biggest contributors, Broccolini, donated $15,000 worth of supplies, filling 30 cribs. No Limits Martial Arts also made a big impact, with Adam Molar and the children filling eight cribs. MCRC also expressed appreciation for Scotiabank’s continued sponsorship. Andrade added, “Broccolini’s kindness is amazing. Their donation alone will help families for months.”

The funds raised will help support the Infant Food Bank, which saw a record number of babies—185—in December and assisted 18 new families. The money will keep shelves stocked with much-needed supplies, ensuring families facing hardships get the help they need. “With this support, we can make sure every child gets the care and nourishment they deserve,” Andrade said.
