As part of a fundraising effort, families will be able to watch movies for free on Saturday at Cineplex theatres in Burlington, Oakville, and Milton.
Three Cineplex locations in Halton will host their Community Day on Saturday, Nov. 19, providing a low-cost outing for families with young children.
Four children's movies will be shown in the theatres for free from 9 to 11 a.m., and concessions will cost $2.50.
The films are "The Lost City," a live-action production starring Sandra Bullock, "Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank," "Sonic the Hedgehog 2," and "The Spongebob Movie: Sponge On The Run."
It is not possible to order movie tickets in advance; they must be purchased at the box offices the morning of the event.
The theatres will be donating $1 from every concession order and XSCAPE arcade playcard sale throughout the day towards supporting youth empowerment programs through their partners at Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada.
