Possible Road-Rage Shooting Reported on Highway 401 Near Milton

The westbound lanes of Highway 401 near Milton have reopened after a possible road-rage shooting early Monday, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.

Officers closed the westbound stretch of the highway between Guelph Line and Highway 6 South for several hours while they investigated.

Police say the incident happened between 1:30 a.m. and 1:40 a.m. The victim’s vehicle, a red Hyundai, was discovered with bullet holes on the driver’s side. Two people were inside the car at the time, but no injuries were reported.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a dark-colored sedan.

All westbound lanes reopened at around 7:30 a.m.
