A tragic accident claimed the life of a 17-year-old boy in Milton on Saturday afternoon, according to Halton Regional Police.
The collision occurred around 1 p.m. when the teenager, driving a 2005 Honda Civic southbound on the 6th Nassagaweya Line, lost control of the vehicle. The car veered off the road and struck a power pole on the east side of the roadway.
Emergency responders pronounced the young driver dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed he was the sole occupant of the vehicle and that no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
