Brave Woman Thwarts Carjacking Attempt at Milton Gas Station

A Brampton man is facing charges after an attempted car theft led to a brief altercation with a quick-thinking woman in south Milton on Tuesday (April 15).
Halton police say the incident occurred around 3:35 p.m. at the Petro-Canada station located at 235 Steeles Ave. A woman was refueling her vehicle when a man jumped into the driver’s seat and tried to steal it.
The woman confronted the suspect, leading to a short struggle before he fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported, and no weapons were involved.
Officers quickly apprehended a 33-year-old Brampton man, who has been charged with robbery. He remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
