Community Spirit Shines: Seasons Milton Raises Over $3,000 for Alzheimer’s Support

Despite a gloomy weather forecast, the spirit at Seasons Milton Retirement Community was anything but dampened during their heartfelt Walk for Alzheimer’s event. With umbrellas in hand and a mission close to their hearts, participants came together and raised an impressive $3,302.00 in support of the Alzheimer Society.

A particularly touching moment came from resident Jean George, who completed three full laps around the building in the rain—walking proudly in memory of her late husband. Her determination symbolized the courage and resilience of all those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia.

“We are incredibly proud to have exceeded our fundraising goal in support of the Walk for Alzheimer’s,” shared Sarah Periana, General Manager at Seasons Milton. “Our commitment to those living with Alzheimer’s or dementia is at the heart of what we do. Supporting this cause is deeply meaningful to our team and residents alike.”

A huge part of the event’s success was thanks to Memory Care Manager Leila, whose tireless planning brought together team members, residents, families, and community partners. She led both online and in-person fundraising efforts, inspiring others with her daily dedication to Alzheimer’s care and support.

The walk wrapped up in just 40 minutes and was followed by a high-energy dance party that lifted everyone’s spirits. Participants then gathered to share personal stories, reflect on the loved ones they were walking for, and talk about the importance of continuing to support Alzheimer’s initiatives in the Milton community.

This event not only raised funds but also brought the community closer in a powerful expression of unity, remembrance, and care.
