A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Milton early Saturday morning.
Emergency crews were called to Lower Base Line, just east of Tremaine Road, shortly before 7 a.m., after a red Ford pickup truck traveling eastbound crashed into a concrete retaining wall.
Milton firefighters used the Jaws of Life to remove the roof of the vehicle and extricate the driver. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the sole occupant of the truck.
Halton police's Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the collision. Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are requested to contact the CRU at (905) 825-4747, ext. 5065 or CRU@haltonpolice.ca.
