Over 400 residents gathered for the Laying of the Cornerstone and Groundbreaking Ceremony of the new St. George & St. Abanoub Church (SGSA) at 555 Steeles Ave E, Milton. The ceremony included the placement of a time capsule in the cornerstone, marking a powerful moment of faith and history for the growing Coptic Orthodox community in our town.

The event was presided over by His Grace Bishop Mina, along with Father Kyrillos Attia and church leaders. During the ceremony, Father Kyrillos quoted Ecclesiastes: “To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven,” highlighting the significance of this milestone for Milton’s more than 600 Coptic Orthodox families.

A beautiful and historic day as the community comes together to build a place of faith, unity, and future generations in Milton.
