Man Injured After Being Dragged by Car in Milton During Failed Phone Sale

A planned phone sale in Milton ended in violence, leaving one man in the hospital and police searching for two suspects.

According to Halton police spokesperson Ryan Anderson, the incident happened around 3 p.m. on Saturday (Feb. 1) at a home on Wetlaufer Terrace after the victim and suspect arranged the sale through Marketplace.

When the victim showed the phone, the suspect grabbed it and ran to a waiting car without paying. The victim jumped onto the car’s hood in an attempt to stop them but was dragged a short distance. He was then punched through the window and had his leg run over as the suspects fled.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Suspect Description:

🔹 Black male, approx. 6 feet tall, wearing dark clothing
