Man Threatened with Baseball Bat in Milton; Suspect in Custody

A Guelph man has been arrested following a frightening encounter in Milton involving a baseball bat.
The incident occurred around 11:20 p.m. on Friday, June 13th, when a Milton man was standing outside a business on Speedvale Avenue West. A stranger began staring at him before heading into a nearby residence. As the Milton man got into his vehicle, the suspect re-emerged, wielding a baseball bat raised over his head, and charged at the victim’s car.
Fortunately, the victim was able to drive away safely, and no injuries were reported.
On Tuesday morning, a 27-year-old Guelph man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon. He was held for a bail hearing and later released, with a court date set for July 25th.
