Milton Fire and Rescue Services has taken a major step forward in high-rise emergency preparedness thanks to a generous donation of over $25,000 in lifesaving equipment from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada.

The donation was celebrated during a special grant award event on Thursday, May 1st at the Firehouse Subs on Santa Maria Boulevard in Milton, where community members gathered for the official cheque presentation.

With this funding, local firefighters received nine new high-rise kits, which are essential for managing fires in tall buildings. These kits improve water flow and ensure a reliable supply during emergency situations, enhancing safety and response effectiveness.

As Milton continues to grow vertically, this equipment will be critical in helping firefighters protect lives and property.

“We are honoured to receive this generous grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation,” said Milton Fire Chief Peter Gatto. “This support will significantly enhance our fire services, ensuring we remain well-equipped to continue safeguarding our growing community.”
