Milton High School Raises Over $134,000 for Cancer Research in Inspiring Community Effort

Students and staff at Bishop Reding Catholic Secondary School have gone above and beyond, raising over $134,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society during this year’s Relay for Life event — more than quadrupling their original fundraising goal!

This remarkable achievement was made possible through the support of the Milton community, with funds raised via book sales, raffle baskets, sponsorships, and direct donations.

🎗️ On Thursday, May 8, the school hosted a heartfelt culminating event. Students walked the track, lit tea lights, and placed message-filled paper bags in the gymnasium — all in honour of loved ones affected by cancer. The day ended with the presentation of a donation cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society.

This is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together with compassion and purpose. Huge congratulations to Bishop Reding for leading with heart and hope.
