Halton police are investigating an early morning home invasion that resulted in a physical altercation between the homeowner and two suspects.
At approximately 4:05 a.m. on Friday, April 4, two individuals—one reportedly armed with a hammer—forced their way through the front door of a home in the area of Wilson Drive and Joyce Boulevard.
Once inside, the suspects confronted the homeowner and demanded the keys to his vehicles. A brief struggle over the hammer occurred before the suspects ultimately fled the scene on foot. Fortunately, no injuries were reported and nothing was stolen.
The suspects are described as male, wearing dark clothing and face masks.
Halton Regional Police Service is working to identify the suspects and any possible suspect vehicle. Investigators are asking anyone with information, including security or dash cam footage from the Wilson Drive and Joyce Boulevard area between 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., to contact the 1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777, extension 2416.
