Milton Transit has announced that fares will be going up starting January 2, 2026, as part of the town’s plan to expand and enhance local transit services. The fare adjustment will help support new routes, extended service hours, and better schedule reliability.
While cash fares will stay the same, several other fare options will see slight increases:
10-ticket passes for all riders will rise by $1.
Monthly passes will increase by $3 for youth and adults, and by $2 for seniors.
New fares effective Jan. 2, 2026:
Adult (20–64):
Cash: $4.25
Single-use e-ticket: $3.85
10 tickets: $36
Monthly pass: $97
Youth (13–19):
Cash: $4.25
Single-use e-ticket: $2.90
10 tickets: $27
Monthly pass: $73
Senior (65+):

The fare increase supports Milton Transit’s early-phase rollout of a five-year, $50-million service plan aimed at adding new buses and expanding local transit coverage.
Riders can buy tickets and passes through the Token Transit app or from any open ticket agent. Exact cash is also accepted when boarding. For more information about schedules and service updates, visit www.miltontransit.ca.
