Several Milton schools are currently in hold and secure, according to the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS). This means students and staff must stay indoors while the police investigate.

Bishop Reding Catholic Secondary School was the first to go into hold and secure, followed by St. Peter Catholic Elementary School, and Bruce Trail Public School. Chris Hadfield Public School has also been placed under hold and secure.

The police are searching for suspects involved in a robbery at a nearby pharmacy. Thankfully, there are no reports of injuries so far.

Additionally, there is a police presence at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton, which also houses the Milton Public Library's main branch. People are advised to avoid the area while the investigation is ongoing.
