One Injured in Fiery Collision at Trafalgar and Derry in Milton

A dramatic multi-vehicle crash in east Milton on Wednesday night left one SUV fully engulfed in flames and another vehicle in a ditch with a trapped occupant.

The collision occurred around 8 p.m. at the busy intersection of Derry Road and Trafalgar Road. According to Deputy Chief Matt Townsend of Milton Fire and Rescue Services, two vehicles were involved in the incident.

Firefighters from both Milton and Mississauga responded to the scene. Upon arrival, crews found one SUV completely on fire and a second vehicle with an occupant trapped inside. Firefighters successfully extricated the individual, who was then transported to hospital with what is believed to be a leg injury.

No additional injuries have been reported. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
