Great news for Milton commuters! The Ontario government has announced plans to increase GO train trips, providing more convenient travel options for residents.
This expansion is part of the largest enhancement of GO train services in over ten years, with over 300 additional trips per week across various lines, including Milton, Lakeshore West, Lakeshore East, Kitchener, and Stouffville.
Starting on Sunday, April 28th, weekend train services will be significantly improved. The Lakeshore West and Lakeshore East lines will see trains running every 15 minutes in the afternoon and evening, compared to the previous 30-minute frequency. Additionally, commuters on the Kitchener line will benefit from new 30-minute weekday services during midday and evenings between Bramalea and Union Station.
For Milton commuters, there's good news too! An extra morning rush hour trip to Union Station and an afternoon rush hour trip from Union Station to Milton GO will be added, making the commute smoother and more efficient.
These improvements aim to enhance the overall commuting experience, providing residents with more flexibility and convenience when traveling to and from Milton.
