Over 100 New Hospital Beds Coming to Oakville and Milton!

ree

Coming soon to our local hospitals — a big improvement in patient care! 🏥

On Nov. 7, 2025, the Ontario government announced that up to 123 new hospital beds will be added to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) and Milton District Hospital (MDH) over the next two years.

The project will include finishing unused space at OTMH and adding more capacity at MDH.

This is great news for our growing community, especially since the number of people aged 75 and older in Halton is expected to double in the next 20 years, meaning more demand for hospital care.

Halton Healthcare President and CEO Melissa Farrell said the expansion is about “putting patients first” and making sure hospitals grow as the community does.

Oakville MPP Stephen Crawford added that the new beds will help reduce wait times, improve patient flow, and increase capacity for local healthcare.
