Past Event News: Muharram Conference at Minhaj Ul Quran Milton

The newly established location at 50-Steeles Avenue West Milton witnessed a remarkable Muharram Conference yesterday, organized by Minhaj Ul Quran Canada. The event brought together esteemed guests and prominent personalities from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) to commemorate the beginning of the Islamic New Year.




The conference commenced with a warm welcome extended by Kamran Siddiqi, the President of Minhaj Ul Quran Milton, who expressed his gratitude to all the distinguished guests in attendance. Among the prominent speakers, the esteemed Allama Tariq Ghori, Principal of School of Islamic Legacy Canada (SILC), delivered an inspiring speech, enlightening the audience with his profound knowledge.


The spiritual ambiance of the event was further enriched by the soul-stirring Naat recitations by the renowned GTA Naat Khawan, Brother Shakeel Qadri. Hafiz Zeeshan Ahmad delivered a heartfelt Quran recitation, captivating the hearts of those present. The translation of the Quranic verses was eloquently rendered by the Youth Speaker, Brother Ali Ahmad Malik.


The event witnessed the presence of several prominent personalities, including Khawaja Kamran Rashid, the President of Minhaj Ul Quran International Canada, and Chaudhary Ghulam Sarwar, the Senior Executive Vice President. Also in attendance was Brother Zafar Arshad, one of the esteemed founder members of Minhaj Ul Quran. GTA's prominent personalities, Brother Malik Hamid Iqbal, Brother Syed Raza, Brother Saeed Zafar, Brother Syed Mansoor Shah, Brother Haji Noman Siddiqi, along with many other brothers, sisters, and youth, graced the event with their presence.


Expressing his gratitude, Khawaja Kamran Rashid thanked all the participants and assured his continuous support to the entire Milton Executive Team and the community.


The program concluded with a heartfelt Dua offered during Maghreb Salah, seeking blessings and guidance for all.


Following the prayers, attendees were served a delightful spread of food, fostering a sense of community and togetherness.


The success and impact of this Muharram Conference have paved the way for the upcoming event, scheduled to be held at the same location on Sunday, 30th July 2023, at 7:00 pm. The keynote speaker for the upcoming event will be the esteemed Shaikh Hafiz Abdullah Raja Sahib.


Such events play a pivotal role in fostering unity, spirituality, and knowledge-sharing within the community, allowing individuals to come together and commemorate sacred occasions with reverence and respect.
