Thousands of visitors flocked to Hume Auction Farm on Fourth Line, near the Milton-Halton Hills border, this weekend for the 63rd annual Steam-Era, hosted by the Ontario Steam and Antique Preservers Association.
The Labour Day long-weekend tradition is the association’s largest event of the year, showcasing privately owned collections of fully restored and operating antique equipment, from steam engines and tractors to classic cars.
Highlights include live demonstrations of antique sawmills and threshing machines, tractor pull competitions, daily parades of vintage equipment, and even military re-enactments.
The festival continues until tomorrow afternoon (Monday).
