Targeted Jewelry Heist at Rural Milton Home

Halton police are investigating after more than $5,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from a rural Milton home early Thursday morning (Aug. 21).
The break-in occurred around 3:50 a.m. at a residence on Rutledge Way, near Guelph Line and Purdy Drive. According to police, a lone suspect broke through a rear glass patio door to gain entry before fleeing with the stolen jewelry.
No one was home at the time of the burglary.
The suspect is described as a male wearing a hooded sweater. The investigation is ongoing.
