The Town of Milton has begun accepting applications for its 2023 patio extension program in designated areas, allowing bars and restaurants to extend and operate patios as patio season approaches. The program, which was first launched in 2020, will resume operations during Victoria Day weekend. The initiative is aimed at supporting local businesses, and the Town of Milton is partnering with the Milton Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area to promote it. The program will be available from May 20 to Oct. 31 for patios on public property and until Dec. 31 for those on private property.
