Coming soon to our local hospitals — a big improvement in patient care! 🏥 On Nov. 7, 2025 , the Ontario government  announced that up to 123 new hospital beds  will be added to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH)  and Milton District Hospital (MDH)  over the next two years. People who see many police, fire, and ambulance vehicles around Milton District Hospital on November 12  don’t need to worry. Halton police and other emergency crews will be holding a training exercise  at the hospital from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Constable Jeff Dillon said the exercise will simulate how first responders handle an “active attacker”  situation. He explained that it will take place in an unused part of the hospital , so regular hospital services will not be affected.
