The Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train is coming to Milton next month! This train travels across Canada, stopping in communities for short concerts before moving on. It also helps raise money, food, and awareness for local food banks.
According to the schedule, the train will arrive at the Glen Eden Ski & Snowboard Center’s West Parking Lot (5234 Kelso Road) on Saturday, November 23rd. The performers will be American Authors and KT Tunstall, with the train arriving at 5:00 p.m. and leaving by 5:30 p.m. Be sure to arrive early and expect some delays. Later that evening, the train will continue to Hamilton.
The event is free, but CP encourages attendees to bring cash or non-perishable food donations if they can. Local food banks will have collection stations set up, and all donations will stay in the community to help those in need. Cash donations can be especially helpful, as food banks can buy food at a discount, making the money go further.
Since starting in 1999, the Holiday Train has raised over $24.3 million and collected more than 5.3 million pounds of food for food banks across North America.
