A man from Milton, who also happens to be a youth girls' softball coach, has been accused of two sex-related offenses. On April 14, Halton officers apprehended Stephen Jones, aged 60, after conducting an investigation into a sexual assault.
Jones has been charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation, and is presently being detained until his scheduled bail hearing in Milton. He has coached youth girls' softball teams in Kitchener and Guelph, and may have previously coached in Halton. The victim in this investigation is a minor, and the authorities suspect that there may be more victims.
If anyone has any information regarding this inquiry, they are requested to contact the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit at 905-825-4777, extension 8970.
