A quick stop for gas turned into a tough lesson for one driver in Milton.
Halton police say a Toyota SUV was stolen last night (Jan. 30) at the Pioneer Gas Station (432 Steeles Ave.). The driver had just finished refueling and left the vehicle running and unlocked while stepping inside to pay. That’s when a thief took the opportunity to hop in and drive away.
“It appears to have been a crime of opportunity,” said Halton police media officer Jeff Dillon.
Suspect Description:
🔹 Male, 30-40 years old🔹 Approx. 6 feet tall🔹 Wearing a black puffer jacket with the hood up, blue pants, and black shoes
The stolen SUV was last seen heading eastbound on Steeles Ave.
Police are asking anyone with information to call (905) 825-4777.
