"Hazardous Household Waste and Electronics Drop-Off for Milton, Oakville, and Burlington Residents"


Halton Region invites residents of Milton, Oakville, Burlington, and Halton Hills to safely dispose of unwanted household hazardous waste and old electronics.

The Special Waste Drop-off Day will take place on Saturday, October 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the parking lot of Elements Casino, located at 93 Guelph Line, just north of Highway 401.

Household hazardous waste accepted includes:

  • Solvents and glues

  • Mercury-containing devices

  • Partially-filled paint cans

  • Aerosol cans

  • Fluorescent or CFL bulbs

  • Pesticides, fertilizers, and garden chemicals

  • Automotive liquids and oil filters

  • Medications and sharps

  • Batteries

  • Waste cooking oil

Electronic waste accepted includes:

  • Computers and modems

  • Monitors

  • TVs and receivers

  • Stereos and speakers (including vehicle stereos)

  • DVD, VCR, and Blu-ray players

  • Cameras and camcorders (including security cameras)

  • Cellphones and home phones

  • Printers, copiers, fax machines

  • Headphones

  • Electronic musical instruments

  • Printer cartridges

  • Video gaming devices

  • Drones with audio/visual recording equipment

  • All peripherals and cables (including charging cables)
