Local Salvation Army Collecting Toys for Milton Families in Need

The holiday season is here, and the Salvation Army Khi Community is working to spread joy to families in Milton who are facing financial challenges.

Starting Monday, November 25th, the Salvation Army will kick off its 2024 Christmas Assistance Program. This initiative provides families in need with toys and other support to help make the holiday season brighter.

“Our goal is to embody the spirit of Christmas by giving back to our community,” said Ruth Hickman, Director and Officer of the Salvation Army Khi Community.

The program features a free toy shop, open for two weeks, where new and existing clients can select gifts for their children. In addition, food bank services are available year-round for those requiring assistance.

This year, the Salvation Army anticipates helping over 1,000 households in November and December. Approximately 1,500 children, ranging from infants to 16 years old, will receive toys through the program.

How to Register Families in Milton, Campbellville, Hornby, and Moffat can register for the program by calling 905-875-1022 to book an appointment. Applicants must provide valid ID showing their current address and proof of birthdate for each child receiving toys.
