On Thursday, August 29th, around 7:57 a.m., police responded to an accident at Thompson Road and Maple Avenue involving a pedestrian.

A 51-year-old driver from Halton Hills was driving a white Ram 2500 pick-up truck west on Maple Avenue. When the truck turned left onto Thompson Road, it hit a 70-year-old pedestrian crossing the south side of the intersection.

The pedestrian was taken to a trauma center outside the region with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
