Man Arrested After Allegedly Pointing Imitation Gun at Milton Tim Hortons Drive-Thru

A series of serious charges have been laid following a tense confrontation at a Milton Tim Hortons last week.

Halton Regional Police report the incident took place around 7:20 p.m. on March 23 at the Steeles Avenue and Thompson Road location. A man allegedly got into a verbal dispute with people inside a vehicle at the drive thru.

Police say the situation escalated when the suspect pointed what appeared to be a handgun at the group before fleeing the scene on a bicycle. The weapon was later recovered and confirmed to be an imitation firearm. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Following an investigation, officers arrested 31-year-old Philip Dickson, who has no fixed address. He now faces multiple charges, including pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, disguise with intent, carrying a concealed weapon, obstructing a peace officer, failure to comply with a probation order, and assault with a weapon.

The accused remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
