A Milton resident is celebrating a big lottery win after claiming a second prize in a recent LOTTO MAX draw.
Lester Young, a 53-year-old independent contractor, won $76,455.10 in the February 24 draw. He discovered his win while casually checking old tickets at a store—turning an ordinary moment into an unforgettable one.
“A rush of emotions came all at once,” Young shared. “I felt immediate disbelief and started giggling to myself. It was so shocking and overwhelming that I kind of froze!”
After taking some time to process the news, he shared the exciting moment with his daughters, family, and friends.
“Everyone reacted with happiness and excitement. I felt loved, supported, and celebrated. It was a joyous feeling.”
Young says he plans to use part of his winnings to treat his daughters, possibly with a special shopping trip. He describes the entire experience as “surreal” and one he’ll never forget.
The lucky ticket was purchased at De Havilland Smoke & Gift on Keele Street in North York.
