We've seen this play out time and time again. The (greedy) developers and builders submit their applications which at first seem acceptable, then once the zoning is approved by Council, they modify their plans making the buildings into skyscrapers, reducing the number of parking spots, eliminate parks and playgrounds, and outright lie about the future traffic impact of the development once completed. Then Council pretends to be concerned, asks a few questions for clarification. Next, the (unelected) Town Staff submit their RECOMMENDATION that Councilors approve the development despite public pushback and outcry. Then, Council goes ahead and does exactly what the unelected Town Staff tells them to do. This system is as corrupt as it gets!
