
A 76-year-old Milton landlord is facing weapons charges after a dispute with former tenants escalated into a tense confrontation on Saturday, Feb. 1.
According to Halton police spokesperson Ryan Anderson, officers arrived at a Gleave Terrace home around 8:40 a.m. to assist former tenants in retrieving their belongings. The landlord initially agreed to let them collect their items but then returned from the garage with a large knife.
He allegedly pointed the weapon at both police and the tenants, shouting that they wouldn’t be allowed inside the house.
Police arrested the landlord and charged him with:🔹 Assault with a weapon🔹 Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Thankfully, no injuries were reported during the incident.
