Families, students and staff gathered for a vibrant evening of culture, food and community spirit at the Ramadan Community Dinner and Bazaar held at P.L. Robertson Public School.

The event brought together nearly 380 people and served around 400 meals, making it one of the most successful community gatherings hosted by the school. Many additional visitors who came to explore the bazaar were also eager to join in and purchase food, adding to the lively atmosphere of the evening.

Community members arrived dressed in beautiful traditional attire and shared a night filled with warmth, patience and positive energy. Organizers thanked families for their enthusiastic participation and for creating such a welcoming environment.

The evening featured a variety of vendors showcasing unique items, along with delicious food from vendors Mary Brown’s and Kufiyah A special contribution also came from The Samosas restaurant, which generously donated 400 samosas for P.L. Robertson families.

School staff played a major role in making the event run smoothly. Organizers expressed gratitude to the school’s principal, vice-principals and staff for their support in helping make the evening feel like home for everyone attending.

Behind the scenes, a dedicated team of volunteers spent many hours preparing for the celebration and their hard work.

The school’s Islamic Heritage Club, led by staff member Sarah Salah, and participating students were also recognized for their efforts and support. Volunteer henna artists and face-painting volunteers added to the festive atmosphere, while many children and family members helped make the evening memorable.

By the end of the night, the P.L. Robertson community had once again demonstrated the power of unity and celebration, leaving attendees with smiles, full hearts and hopes for many more gatherings in the future.
