Your local library is about to become more convenient and user-friendly!
As Milton Public Library prepares to celebrate its 170th anniversary, staff are getting ready to launch a major system upgrade on February 6. Here’s what’s coming:
Text Notifications: Get alerts about holds, due dates, and more.
Bookmarks for Searches: Save and revisit your favorite catalogue searches easily.
Enhanced Reading History: Track what you’ve read with a searchable history that includes book covers, authors, and check-out dates.
Improved Mobile App: Manage your account and access resources on the go.
To get ready for these upgrades, some services will pause from January 27 to February 5.
During this time:
You can still borrow items at the customer service desk at all three branches.
Public computers, laptops, room bookings, and printing will still be available.
All e-resources will remain accessible.
To make things easier, due dates for items between January 22 and February 5 will be extended to February 10, and no late fees will be charged from February 6 to 14.
Make sure to place holds on materials by January 26!
