Milton Magic FC U15 Boys Capture Club’s First-Ever National Championship

Milton Magic FC has made history with a national triumph to remember.

Over the Thanksgiving long weekend, the club’s U15 Boys’ team became the first Milton Magic squad to capture a national championship, defeating Quebec’s Saguenay Lac St-Jean 1–0 in a thrilling final on Monday in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

The Magic’s road to glory was dominant from start to finish. After topping their group with decisive wins over Moncton Codiac and Saskatoon Alliance — outscoring their opponents 8–1 — the team advanced with a 2–0 quarterfinal victory against Winnipeg 1v1 Futbol. They then delivered a commanding 3–0 shutout over Edmonton Northside United FC in the semifinals to secure their spot in the national final.

“This is a truly historic moment for Milton Magic FC,” said club president Phil Ionadi. “Bringing home the first National Championship in our club’s history is an extraordinary achievement that reflects years of dedication, teamwork, and pursuit of excellence.”

The championship win capped off an undefeated 2025 season for the U15 Boys, highlighted by league and cup titles in the Golden Horseshoe Soccer League, an Ontario Cup victory, and international tournament success at both the Nike Blue Chip Showcase in Ohio and the Penn Fusion Showcase in Pennsylvania.

The team was led by Head Coach Andy Garcia, with assistant coaches Joe Mattachine and Loukas Papa Constantinou, Team Manager Melese O’Connell, and Director of Soccer David Benning.

Adding to the celebration, Milton’s own Ethan Secondino was named tournament MVP — a fitting end to a milestone season for the club.
