Cricket is getting a major boost in Milton! The Town has officially announced the construction of a double-lane cricket batting cage at Optimist Park, located at 881 Savoline Boulevard. This new facility will offer players a dedicated, safe space to practice and develop their skills — a win for Milton's growing cricket community.

Construction is scheduled to run throughout the summer of 2025, with the batting cages set to officially open in spring 2026. While work is underway, all other park amenities will remain open, ensuring minimal disruption for visitors. The construction area will be clearly fenced off, and residents are encouraged to use caution around the site.

This exciting project follows closely on the heels of the Town’s commitment to expanding recreational opportunities, including the recently announced pickleball courts earlier this summer.
