Quick-Thinking Woman Scares Off Car Thief at Milton Gas Station

On Tuesday, April 15, a quick-thinking woman thwarted a vehicle theft attempt at the Petro Canada gas station located at 235 Steeles Ave. in Milton.

At approximately 3:35 p.m., while fueling her vehicle, she was approached by a man who entered the driver’s seat of her car and tried to drive off. A brief struggle took place between the woman and the suspect, forcing him to flee the scene on foot.

Halton Regional Police responded swiftly and were able to locate and arrest the suspect shortly after.

A 33-year-old man from Brampton is now facing a robbery charge. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and no weapons were involved in the incident.

Kudos to the resident for staying calm under pressure.
