Teens and Preteen Arrested After Overnight Crime Spree Shocks Milton

In the early hours of Tuesday, October 21st, around 2:45 a.m., Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) received a call after an attempted vehicle break-in on Kovacik Boulevard in Milton. The suspects triggered a car alarm, prompting a rapid response from officers.

Police quickly located three stolen vehicles attempting to flee the area. Using a tire deflation device, officers successfully stopped one of the vehicles near Tremaine Road and Gordon Krantz Boulevard, leading to the arrest of all three occupants.

Among those arrested were a 15-year-old boy from Hamilton and a 16-year-old girl from Ancaster, who now face multiple charges including:

• Trespass by Night

• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

• Flight from Police

• Dangerous Operation

• Failure to Comply with Probation Order

Both teens remain in custody pending a bail hearing.

An 11-year-old was also detained but cannot be charged due to their age.

While one stolen vehicle managed to evade police, another was later recovered unoccupied. Investigators are now working to identify the remaining suspects.

Police have connected the group to four stolen vehicles and at least eight vehicle break-ins or attempts across Milton on October 20th and 21st. Three of the stolen vehicles have since been recovered and returned to their owners.

The HRPS reminds Milton residents to always lock their vehicles and avoid leaving keys inside unattended cars.
