The Milton announces its inaugural Tea Fest!

This exciting event promises to be a vibrant celebration of the diverse world of tea, inviting tea enthusiasts of all levels to indulge in a day-long immersion into everything tea-related.

Tea Fest will showcase more than 25 vendors offering sample of their finest teas, allowing attendees to embark on a flavorful journey around the globe. Guests can also deepen their understanding of tea's rich history and culture through a series of complimentary workshops and demonstrations. Highlights include a traditional Masala Chai demonstration by Preena Chauhan and a Japanese tea ceremony led by Momo Yoshida. Due to limited space, these captivating sessions require pre-registration.


CEO and Chief Librarian Sarah Douglas-Murray anticipates a bustling day filled with enjoyable tea-themed activities.Local vendors will present a diverse array of teas and tea-related products available for purchase. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own bags (BYOB) to carry their purchases, with Milton Public Library tote bags also available for sale at $10.00 each.

While there is no ATM on site, most vendors accept debit and credit cards. Additionally, onsite food options will be available for purchase.


The event will take place on Saturday, May 4th, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Rink 2 in the Sherwood Community Centre, located at 6355 Main Street West. Admission is free with a donation of a food item for Food for Life encouraged, and parking is complimentary.


All are welcome, and the venue is fully accessible. Join us for a delightful celebration of tea.
