Traffic on Highway 401 in Milton was delayed down by an early morning truck fire.
On Tuesday, November 8, right after Highway 25, the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 near Milton had a transport truck trailer fire, according to an OPP tweet sent at 5:05 a.m.
The fire did not result in any reported injuries.
The OPP said that "the cab and the driver moved away from the burning trailer."
The Mississauga and Milton Fire crews were both present.
Update: At 9 a.m. The OPP said they hoped to have all lanes open again By 10 a.m. It looks that an axle is where the fire originated. According to the authorities, the trailer was completely packed with whey protein, which overflowed onto the road.
