The annual SummerFest celebration in Milton, organized by the Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area (DMBIA), is scheduled for June 3 and they are currently seeking local volunteers. This event, held in the historic downtown area and in collaboration with the Town of Milton, involves various local businesses and organizations and offers activities for all ages including live music, vendors, patios, kids' activities and more.
As this family-oriented community event expects high attendance in 2023, it presents an excellent opportunity to connect with the community and ensure its success. According to a SummerFest spokesperson, volunteering at the event provides a chance to meet interesting people and gain experience in running a large-scale event in Milton. High school students can also earn their Ontario community service hours by volunteering.
Volunteer positions are available for those who are at least 16 years old, such as activity attendants, information booth attendants, entertainment attendants, barricade attendants, green team members, and logistics volunteers.
